Aristonate®

Aristonic® Acid intermediates and neutralized Aristonates® are First-Intent water and oil soluble synthetic sulfonates used in; dispersants, detergents, emulsification, metal working, corrosion inhibition, lube oil additive, viscosity index improver, ore floatation, enhanced oil recovery, agriculture and industrial cleaning applications. Pilot Chemical uses its proprietary ice-cold sulfonation process to produce Aristonate® and Aristonic® Acid products insuring consistency, uniformity, and reliable performance. In addition to the listed products, Pilot can custom manufacture Aristonate® and Aristonic® Acid products to meet your specifications.

Aristonate® C-5000

Neutral Calcium Sulfonate, 5 TBN (MW=520)

High performance corrosion inhibitor and demulsifier. Offers great water rejection characteristics for hydraulic fluids. Exhibits great corrosion inhibition in soluble oil and semi-synthetic industrial lubricant formulations.

Aristonate® H

High Molecular Wt. Alkyl Aryl Sulfonate (MW=470)

Aristonate® H is a high molecular weight member of Pilot's new generation of oil soluble sodium alkyl aryl sulfonates. Aristonate® H is a clear dark brown, sodium sulfonate of moderate viscosity, which finds use in a wide variety of applications where excellent corrosion protection, low foam, moderate emulsification, and lubricity is required.

Aristonate® L

Low Molecular Wt. Alkyl Aryl Sulfonate (MW=400)

Excellent emulsifier for oil in water, water-in-oil, and solids in oil formulations. Has an optimum balance of hydrophilic and lipophilic properties for the formulation of low oil, high water based fluids such as grinding oils or parts cleaners.

Aristonate® M

Medium Molecular Wt. Alkyl Aryl Sulfonate (MW=430)

First-intent economical general utility emulsifier that offers great corrosion protection. Good choice for oil in water, water-in-oil, and solids in oil formulations. Emulsifier of choice for high water based cutting fluids and simple soluble oils

Aristonate® MME-60

Medium Molecular Wt. Alkyl Aryl Sulfonate (MW=470)

Excellent emulsifier with good corrosion protection properties and has a very low foam tendency. Has outstanding stability in presence of boric acid amine corrosion inhibitors, and contains no alkaline earth metals.

Aristonate® S-2460

Sodium Alkyl Aryl Sulfonate

Aristonate® S-2460 is a high molecular weight, and highly branched member of Pilot’s newer generation of oil soluble sodium alkyl aryl sulfonates. Aristonate® S-2460 is a clear, dark brown, sodium sulfonate of relatively high viscosity, which finds use in a wide variety of applications where excellent corrosion protection, low foam, moderate emulsification, and lubricity is required.

Aristonate® S-4000

Low Molecular Wt. Alkyl Aryl Sulfonate (MW=400)

First-intent, custom tailored and efficient emulsifier with a very low foam tendency. Offers excellent ferrous corrosion inhibition for soluble oils. Easily forms micro-emulsions in semi-synthetic systems.

Aristonate® S-4600

High Molecular Wt. Alkyl Aryl Sulfonate (MW=460)

First-intent, high efficiency emulsifier with enhanced corrosion inhibition and low foam profile. Great utility sulfonate for soluble oils and semi-synthetic systems. Well suited for paraffinic and naphthenic base stocks.

Aristonate® S-4600-LF

Sodium Alkyl Aryl Sulfonate

Aristonate® S-4600-LF is a high molecular weight, low-foaming oil soluble sodium alkyl aryl sulfonate. Unmatched for consistency in both appearance and performance and is compatible with a wide range of oils, solvents, emulsifiers, coupling agents, bactericides, antioxidants and corrosion inhibitors.

Aristonate® S-5000

Very High Molecular Wt. Alkyl Aryl Sulfonate (MW=500)

First-intent emulsifier with great corrosion inhibition and low foam profile. Well suited for semi-synthetic metalworking and lubrication formulations incorporating paraffinic oils.

Aristonate® VH-2

Very High Molecular Wt. Alkyl Aryl Sulfonate (MW=500)

Offers very strong and extraordinary corrosion inhibitor for metal parts exposed to water, such as high water based coolants and hydraulic fluids, drawing compounds, cutting oils and simple soluble oils. Provides maximum part adhesion during machining.
