Message from Pilot Chemical: Together Against COVID-19

March 20, 2020

To Our Valued Customers and Business Partners:

On behalf of everyone at Pilot Chemical, we want you to know that we stand together with you in the fight to combat COVID-19.

In the midst of the unprecedented measures taking place nationwide, we are all adjusting to this new reality and there will continue to be unknowns. One thing that is certain is the work the chemical industry is doing is an essential part of the solution. The products we manufacture provide critical cleaning, hygiene, and health benefits, especially in times like this. We can all be proud of this and know that we are playing an important role in the well‐being of each other and our communities.

With new developments unfolding by the hour, we want to assure you that we are closely monitoring guidelines and information issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization, and local, state and federal health and government authorities.

In line with other chemical and manufacturing companies with research and distribution centers, continuing operations at our plants is critical and we have enacted business continuity plans to safeguard our employees and our ability to manufacture products for our customers. These plans include everything from adapting our attendance policy, enabling telecommuting for all functions that can work remotely, and increasing cleaning and disinfection measures at our plants and lab sites; to implementing taking temperatures of essential on-site team members prior to shift start, limiting on-site personnel, adjusting scheduling to allow for social distancing, and restricting travel and gatherings. We are also working diligently with our supply chain and logistics partners to meet the demands of our customers.

Lastly, in conjunction with the Ohio Manufactures’ Association, the National Association of Manufacturers, along with the American Chemistry Council, we are reaching out to the White House, Senate and House Leadership and all 50 governors reinforcing the importance of maintaining operations at chemical facilities.

We will continue to monitor and assess our plans and our ability to safely deliver to you and will communicate any changes to our response. We are here for you – please contact your Pilot Account Manager or reach us at info@pilotchemical.com if you have any questions or concerns.

As always, we remain committed to serving you and appreciate your support of Pilot Chemical.

Thank you, be safe and stay healthy,

Richard Rehg
