Today, Pilot Chemical Company is launching Nobac® BKC USP antimicrobial, which is effective in both health-care and consumer over-the-counter antiseptic rubs and washes. It is 50% active Benzalkonium Chloride in a water-and-ethanol solution.
Nobac® BKC USP antimicrobial is manufactured under current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) at our state-of-the-art production facility in Mexico. It meets the standard for use as an FDA active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and has been evaluated against the USP-NF Benzalkonium Chloride Solution monograph.
As the active ingredient in hand hygiene applications, Nobac® BKC USP antimicrobial can be used in the following product types:
- Health-care personnel hand washes, surgical hand scrubs, health-care personnel hand rubs
- Consumer hand and body washes, consumer hand sanitizers, consumer antiseptic wipes
Additional reasons to love this chemistry – it’s compatible with cationic and non-ionic formulations and is soluble in small-chain alcohols, water and glycols.
