Pilot Chemical Announces Products For Use Against The Monkeypox Virus

Recently, the EPA initiated its emerging viral pathogen (EVP) guidance in response to recent cases of monkeypox in the United States and published List Q, “Disinfectants for Emerging Viral Pathogens.” Pilot Chemical Corp.’s subsidiary, Mason Chemical Company, has a broad line of EPA-registered formulations included on List Q with the necessary emerging viral pathogen language.  The EPA expects products on List Q to be effective against the monkeypox virus when they have the appropriate viral claim(s) and are used according to the label directions. Sub-registrants of these products can promote their end-use products for use against monkeypox virus with off-label claims, but they must already have a viral claim on their label to do so.  If you or your customers have any questions about this update, please contact your Account Manager for assistance.
