Houston Plant Hits 5 Years Without a Recordable Injury

November 27, 2018

Pilot Chemical’s Houston plant recently hit five years without a recordable or lost-time injury. This is a great achievement for Houston and for Pilot as a company. Safety is extremely important to Pilot Chemical Company, a reason Safety is one of Pilot’s Core Values.

Susan Leslie said, “Ensuring our employees’ safety is the most important job each of us has. This five-year milestone at Houston represents the commitment that plant has to keep each other safe.” Susan is the Vice President of Operations at Pilot Chemical and has been with Pilot for 36 years.

Pilot’s Houston plant has had to face many obstacles through these past five years. The community of Houston being hit by Hurricane Harvey was just one of the obstacles Houston has overcome to get to where they are now. Pilot Chemical Company applauds the Houston plant employees.

Thomas Boecher, Pilot’s Corporate Health and Safety Lead, says, “In part from the safety and health policies and practices utilized throughout Pilot Chemical Company, we can demonstrate what safety- “looks like” and provide credibility to the focus and direction of our EHS Program as a whole.”

Pilot Chemical is a Responsible Care® Certified Company and is committed to the health and safety of every employee.
