Management Biographies

Paul Morrisroe serves as Chairman and CEO of Pilot Chemical Company. Paul started at Pilot in 1972 as a plant engineer at the Santa Fe Springs, California plant. From 1973 to 1976 he served as a project engineer in the Avenel, New Jersey plant. From 1976 to 1981 he served as vice president of manufacturing. In 1981 he started a seven-year term as general manager of the eastern division of Pilot. Paul became president of Pilot in 1988 following the death of his father, John Morrisroe. Paul received a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana. He also received an MS in Business Policy from Columbia University in New York City.

Pam Butcher serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of Pilot Chemical Company. Pam joined Pilot after a successful 29 year career with The Dow Chemical Company where she held a variety of leadership positions in sales, marketing, customer service, and business management. Her executive level roles included Business Vice President of Specialty Chemicals, Vice President of Corporate Marketing & Sales and Vice President and General Manger of Adhesives and Sealants. She was also a distinguished recipient of Dow’s Genesis Award for people excellence, which is Dow’s highest recognition for people leadership. An active leader in the chemical industry, Pam was president of the board of trustees for the Chemical Educational Foundation (CEF) and a member of the Soap and Detergent Association (SDA) Board of Directors. Pam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy and a Master’s of Science Degree from Purdue University. She also is a graduate of the Northwestern University Marketing Executive program and has participated in the Prince of Wales Sustainability Conference and the Asian Master Class on Asian Business.

Glynn E. Goertzen has worked at Pilot for fifteen years in positions of increasing Commercial management responsibilities. In his current position Glynn manages Pilot's sales, marketing, customer service, integrated supply chain, research & development and corporate accounts functions. Prior to joining Pilot Glynn worked for Kerr McGee/North American Chemical & Univar for twelve years with various sales, marketing and product management responsibilities. Glynn received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Finance from the University of Akron and Master of Business Administration – International Business from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri.

Susan K. Leslie serves as Vice President of Technology and Business Services for Pilot Chemical Company. In her current position Sue is responsible for manufacturing, quality, technical service and EHS&S. Sue joined Pilot in 1982 as a process engineer at the Lockland, Ohio facility where she spent three years. She spent the next seven years as plant engineer at the Middletown, Ohio facility and had a key role in the design, construction and start up of the plant. In 1992, she became plant manager where she spent the next ten years. Prior to moving to her current role, Sue held the position of Vice President, Quality Management Systems for almost three years. Sue received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
Ken Eckroth serves as Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering. He Joined Pilot in 2012 and is an expereinced operations leader with 30 years in the chemical and manufacturing industry. Ken has worked for Shell, Lyondell, General Electric/SABIC and most recently as the Director of Glass Fiber Operations at Hollingsworth and Vose. He has a diversified background which includes production, engineering, environmental and project engineering experience. Ken also brings international operations experience along with a passion for continious improvement, safety and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Ken received a BS in Civil Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology

David M. Waizmann serves as Director of Finance and Accounting for Pilot Chemical Company. David joined Pilot in December 2005 as Controller. In his current position, David manages Pilot's Accounting and Finance functions. Prior to joining Pilot, David worked for Reynolds & Reynolds/ Relizon/Workflow One for over 8 years with various cost accounting, financial reporting and financial planning & analysis responsibilities. David received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration from the University of Dayton. David also is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Ohio and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Catherine Ochterski serves as Director of Human Resources and Administration for Pilot Chemical Company. Catherine joined Pilot in December 2005 as Manager of Human Resources. In her current position, Catherine manages Pilot’s Human Resources function including recruiting, employee relations and benefits. Prior to joining Pilot, Catherine worked for Aero Fulfillment Services for 6 years as Director of Human Resources and with Standard Textile Company for 3 years as HR Representative. She received her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Michigan State University and Master of Arts in Labor and Employment Relations from University of Cincinnati. Catherine also earned her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification in 2004.
